Lionel Richie has shared a reassuring health update after dizziness forced him to postpone two recent tour dates telling fans he is “doing well” and grateful for their support.

The 77-year-old singer posted a message on Instagram on July 4 after returning to the stage in Pittsburgh and Detroit following a brief break from his Sing A Song All Night Long Tour.

“Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love. I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you,” Richie wrote. “Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd… we made real memories together.”

He added, “See you in Toronto... let’s party all night long!”

Richie’s update came after he ended his June 24 concert at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota early after reportedly feeling dizzy on stage while performing Dancing on the Ceiling.

According to reports paramedics met the singer after he left the stage and he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The following day Live Nation Chicago announced that Richie would postpone his June 26 and June 27 shows in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio after doctors advised him to rest and recover fully.

“He and Earth, Wind & Fire will return to the stage on Tuesday, June 30, in Pittsburgh, PA,” the statement said at the time adding that Richie was “heartbroken” to postpone the concerts.

Richie’s ex-wife Brenda Harvey-Richie also reassured fans shortly after the incident writing on X that the singer was “OK” and would be back on stage.

The Hello hitmaker resumed the tour on June 30 in Pittsburgh where he addressed the crowd and joked about the concern surrounding his health scare.

“I had you worried there for a minute, huh?” Richie told concertgoers, according to local reports.

He has since continued with the tour including a performance in Toronto as he appears to have quickly bounced back from the brief setback.
