Cardi B's share her take on unexpected reward after overcoming fears

Cardi B has shared her honest and genuine words with fans after receiving recognition for her new album.

The mother of four released her new album, Am I the Drama? on September 19, 2025, featuring her new phase of life.

Recently, the female rapper was present at the BET awards, where she revealed that she was skeptical about launching her work but did it anyway.

Opening up onstage, when she received the award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, the I Like It hit maker gushed, "Thank you so much for this award. This award means so much to me. Three babies later, I put the album out, honey."

Notably, the songwriter attended the star-studded event, which took place on Sunday night, June 28, 2026.

She added, "Yes. I overcame my fear, my anxiety and I put it out," she began. "I put it out, and guess what? I won an award."

Cardi released her first album, Invasion of Privacy, in April 2018 when she was famously pregnant with her first daughter, Kulture, who is now seven-year-old.

The 33-year-old then dropped her second and latest studio album, when she was the mother of three and was expecting her baby number four with football player, Stefon Digs.

For the unversed, the 23-track project was a major success for the songstress.
