Katy Perry has dropped a bomb on her fans as she shared "heartbreaking" news.

The American singer, who is dating Canada's former Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, recently turned to social media after an unexpected turn of events.

Notably, the 41-year-old was set to perform at the Werchter Boutique in Belgium at the Belgian festival.

Sharing an update on the show, she revealed after the official announcement that the show has been cancelled.

Katy wrote, "Sadly my set @WerchterBoutique tonight can't happen due to a government-mandated cancellation because of the incoming inclement weather and crowd safety concerns,"

The ROAR hit maker gushed that she was backstage getting ready for her show when they told her the unexpected news, "They gave me no choice. I am just as unhappy as you are."

She apologised to her fans as she penned, "I am sorry I can't change the weather, and even sorrier that all of us can't be together tonight," while wishing them to get home safe and take care of themselves.

Notably, The One That Got Away songstress also shared a picture of herself in a bathrobe as she sat on a rock, while smoking with her costume placed beside her.
