Ariana Grande reunites with ex Ricky Alvarez after Ethan Slater split

Ariana Grande has sparked fresh romance speculation after reuniting with her ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez during a break from her Eternal Sunshine Tour in Austin, Texas.

The Grammy-winning singer, who recently split from Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, was photographed enjoying lunch with Alvarez ahead of her concert, prompting fans to wonder whether the former couple had rekindled their relationship.

However, sources close to Grande have dismissed the dating rumors, insisting there is "nothing romantic" between the pair and that they have simply been spending time together as friends. 

According to Daily Mail, Grande and Alvarez dated from 2015 to 2016 after meeting while he worked as one of her backup dancers on the Honeymoon Tour. 

Despite their breakup, the two have remained on good terms over the years, with Alvarez even receiving a playful mention in Grande's 2019 hit Thank U, Next.

Adding fuel to fan speculation, Grande recently tweaked the lyrics referencing Alvarez during a performance on her current tour, replacing the original line with, "And they still kinda slap," a move many interpreted as a nod to their enduring friendship.

The outing comes just weeks after news emerged that Grande and Slater had quietly ended their relationship earlier this year. 

According to insiders, the former couple remain on good terms, while Grande is focused on her tour and the upcoming release of her new album, Petal.
