Justin Bieber, who is a pop-icon and a huge fan of Maple Leafs, was given the opportunity to announce the selection at the Upper Deck NHL Draft.
The 32-year-old singer made his first on-stage appearance after Coachella 2026 as he was assigned with an important task.
The Baby crooner, dressed in his signature style, took the stage to announce the first NHL draft in Buffalo.
However, things did not go as planned as the Grammy winner pointed out: “Mr. McKenna [Gavin McKenna], we’d like to draft you” with a wide smile.
Although the musician had the passion to make the announcement, the moment did not sit well with the online community.
As Justin casually noted who is being drafted, an X user was of the opinion that it “was a pretty cringy moment,” while another asked: “Could you have maybe given him a script?”
Meanwhile, many appreciated the Company songmaker for his looks and high spirits.
Recently, Justin announced that his Coachella performance has been released in full-length on YouTube for fans who missed out earlier.
Within hours of releasing, the streams of the festival set are already half a million after breaking records when it was made live from the event.
It is to be noted that there are rumours about the singer working on a new album after the commercial success of SWAG I and II.
