American rapper Sexyy Red claims to have hit rock bottom in recently filed case
Sexyy Red was robbed off of almost $500K and many unexpected items from her handbag in Florida, according to court documents.
The 28-year-old rapper, born Janae Nierah Wherry, filed a lawsuit against her security guard as she accused him of burglary during her mother’s birthday bash.
It was reported by TMZ that the musician had a party for her mother at a residence in Florida in January 2025 where the family left a door unlocked.
The SkeeYee crooner complained in the court documents that the security guard was appointed to keep the place secured during the event.
She claimed the things were taken by a masked individual on January 12, resulting in a loss of nearly half a million.
The singer revealed that the situation was investigated by the law enforcement officers who determined that the “door was left unlocked.”
Details about the items stolen are as follows: necklaces, rings, charms, other jewellery and handbags all of which costs around $500K.
Who stole from Sexyy Red?
Carl Thompson, the man leading the security, was directly blamed to be the one behind the incident as he was the last person to exit the building.
The Pound Town crooner is now demanding the exact amount in damages.
