Helen Hunt celebrates daughter Makena’s major milestone

Helen Hunt is celebrating a major milestone in her daughter’s life.

The Oscar-winning actress shared a rare photo with her daughter, Makena Carnahan, as the 22-year-old graduated from Northwestern University. 

In images posted on social media, Makena was seen wearing her graduation gown and holding a bouquet of flowers while posing alongside her proud mother. 

Hunt accompanied the post with a heartfelt message, calling her daughter “amazing” and congratulating her on the achievement.

The actress, who shares Makena with former partner Matthew Carnahan, has largely kept her family life out of the spotlight over the years. 

As a result, fans were delighted to see the rare mother-daughter photos, which quickly attracted attention online.

According to Daily Mail, the graduation celebration comes just months after Hunt and Makena made a rare public appearance together at Paris Fashion Week, where they attended the Stella McCartney show. 

The outing marked their first public event together in nearly seven years and sparked widespread discussion about the striking resemblance between the pair.

Furthermore, Makena has occasionally accompanied her mother at public events but has largely pursued her own interests away from Hollywood. 

Hunt has previously spoken about prioritizing motherhood and family life throughout her career, often keeping details about her daughter private.
