Pete Davidson’s pals call ex Elsie Hewitt’s claims ‘utterly confusing’
Elsie Hewitt has taken to social media to make surprise claims about Pete Davidson
Pete Davidson’s friends have come out to support the comedian after his ex-girlfriend claimed that she was singlehandedly taking care of the pair’s infant.
The comedian and the model welcomed their newborn daughter Scottie Rose in December of last year and reports have recently made rounds that the duo has parted ways.
Soon after, the mother-of-one took to social media to share a cryptic post about having to make money because she had to support herself and her baby which concerned fans about the newly minted father not helping the duo out financially.
As per Page Six, sources close to Pete have now come to his defense, saying “Pete has been paying for everything related to Elsie and Scottie, the rent, their living expenses, their health insurance. They may have split but all he wants is for Elsie to be happy and in a good place.”
“His main priority right now is making sure that Elsie and Scottie are looked after, so it’s utterly confusing to everyone who knows them why she would possibly post anything about him not supporting her,” they added.
The Saturday Night Live alum’s friends explained that he had disagreements with Elsie and that their relationship broke down but that he is committed to being a good father to Scottie by paying for her and by being there physically as well.
