Delta Goodrem is making headlines after overcoming major health struggles to become one of Australia’s strongest Eurovision contenders in years.

The 41-year-old singer, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma at just 18, has endured multiple medical battles throughout her career.

Following successful cancer treatment in the early 2000s, Goodrem later faced another frightening challenge when complications from surgery caused paralysis in a nerve in her tongue, affecting her speech and singing ability.

In a past interview, the singer revealed she had to relearn how to speak after the condition left her terrified she might never perform again.

Despite the setback, Goodrem returned to music and continued touring and recording new material.

According to Daily Mail, the award-winning artist is preparing to represent Australia at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest with her song Eclipse

Moreover, her recent performance has reportedly boosted Australia’s chances of winning the competition, with fans praising her emotional vocals and resilience.

Goodrem rose to fame in the early 2000s with hit songs including Lost Without You and Innocent Eyes, becoming one of Australia’s most successful music exports.

Over the years, she has also become known for her charity work and advocacy for cancer awareness.
