Chris Hughes has revealed that he has become an uncle after his younger brother Ben Hughes welcomed his first child following a difficult battle with testicular cancer.

The former Love Island star shared heartwarming photos on social media holding his newborn niece, Purdey Willa Hughes, who was born on April 21.

Chris described the baby’s arrival as a “magical and beautiful beginning” for Ben and his partner Olivia.

The news carries particular emotional significance for the Hughes family because Ben was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2019.

According to Daily Mail, Chris previously revealed that his brother decided to get checked after watching him undergo a live testicular examination on ITV’s This Morning to raise awareness about men’s health.

Moreover, Ben later underwent surgery and treatment before eventually going into remission.

At the time, Chris spoke openly about the fear and uncertainty his family faced during the ordeal, especially surrounding concerns about fertility and fatherhood.

Sharing photos cuddling his niece, Chris expressed his happiness for the couple and joked about already embracing “uncle duty.”

As per the outlet, Ben also posted tributes online, saying becoming parents had changed their lives “in the best way forever.”
