Ryan Reynolds steps up after Blake Lively's Met Gala comeback

Ryan Reynolds has publicly reacted as Blake Lively made her Met Gala return following the settlement of her legal battle.

On Monday, May 4, the 38-year-old actress returned to fashion’s biggest night at the Met Gala after a four year gap.

It came shortly after she settled her legal matter with Justin Baldoni, which had been active since December 2024.

Soon after her appearance, the Deadpool star took to his Instagram Stories to reshare a red carpet reel of his better half in a pink gown with a flowing train.

In another IG story, the actor also posted a selfie of the two smiling together.

The subtle social media gesture followed confirmation from both sides’ legal teams that a settlement had been reached, bringing an end to the dispute ahead of a trial previously scheduled for May 18.

The matter, linked to the 2024 film It Ends With Us, had unfolded over 18 months and included serious allegations involving harassment claims and a reported “smear campaign.”

However, both parties ultimately agreed to a joint resolution, closing the chapter with a formal settlement.
