Joanna Page has recalled a horrifying incident that left her wondering if she would go blind, after one of her children accidentally hit her in the eyeball.

The Gavin and Stacey star shares four children, Eva, Kit, Noah, and Boe, with the Emmerdale star James Thornton and the mom-of-four opened up about the time sharing a bed with the youngest went wrong.

On the Shagged. Married. Annoyed. podcast with hosts Chris Ramsey and Rosie Ramsey, the Welsh actress spilled the story about Boe causing her the injury.

"I was lying on my back in the bed and Boe was horizontal and she was on her back and then... She lifted her foot up and with her ankle she went boom, flat on my eye and a full like ankle sock, just the ball of it went boom and just got me right on the eyeball," Joanna said.

The 49-year-old went on to say that she was in shock and agonising pain after this and thought that she had burst her eyeball.

"And now it feels quite thick under there [the eye] like I've got nerve damage...I'm so exhausted that If I go blind it's just something I'm going to have to get on with. That's where my mental state is right now,” she added.

Notably, Joanna and her husband James often share stories about their children and the Love Actually actress is grateful about the liveliness the children have brought into their household, despite the scary incident.
