Jon Hamm recounted one of the scenes in Top gun: Maverick as the best scene of his top notch career.
The sequence he remembered was one "out-of-body" experience on the set with Tom Cruise.
In a live Q&A with Apple TV Your Friends and Neighbors in 92NY, New York City on March 29, the 55-year-old actor looked back on his career that lasted decades.
Hamm recalled visiting the set of the Action/Adventure and seeing a four-story American flag on the left.
Followed by Tom Cruise walking towards him, wearing Maverick gear, with a bright smile.
Notably, there were three F-18s in the deep ground, and hundreds of naval aviators in the foreground.
Hamm noted how he had questioned Cruise on whether the experience was bizarre since he had been in the same space portraying the same character 35 years ago.
To which he answered, "He said, 'Yeah, it's pretty wild,'" Hamm marked.
The Mad Men actor stated that Top Gun was a coming of age film to him as a 14 year old in St. Louis.
"It was more than a movie. It was a religion," adding, "It defined cool for us. And so, to be a part of that, and be inside of that... I think I'm still kind of blown away that I was in that movie."
Hamm portrayed Vice Admiral Beau "Cyclone" Simpson in the 2022 blockbuster, which earned close to 1.5 billion dollars across the globe.
