Britney Spears is celebrating a small but significant milestone, three weeks sober, after her dramatic arrest earlier this month in Ventura County, California.

The 44-year-old pop icon was taken into custody after a police chase lasting over an hour, which reportedly began when a 911 caller described her as “all over the road.”

Officers say Britney appeared “disoriented” when they approached her vehicle.

She was later booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs before being released.

Fans and loved ones have welcomed the news of her sobriety, seeing it as a positive step after a turbulent period.

A source told Us Weekly that the Toxic hitmaker's arrest “served as a wake-up call” and that she is committed to making long-overdue changes in her life.

Her team emphasised the singer will have the support she needs to succeed.

“Her boys are going to be spending time with her,” a spokesperson said.

“Her loved ones are coming up with a plan to set her up for wellbeing.”

Gimme More singer shares sons Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The popstar, who famously emerged from a lengthy conservatorship in 2021, is set to appear in court on May 4.

Her recent troubles have reignited fan concern, especially as she has been largely out of the public eye.

Her ex-husband Sam Asghari, who she married in 2022 and divorced last year, called for privacy.

Speaking to Fox News, he said: “When it comes to people making mistakes, I understand that. I think that everyone deserves privacy… I hope the press gives her the privacy she needs.”
