The 33-year-old released her mockumentary The Moment, receiving a rave review from her admirers.

However, it was reported that the Apple hitmaker turned to her social media to post a note for her die-hard admirers.

In a circulating screenshot from @360_brat, the musician admitted that her fans are the only reason she is here.

Charli noted: “Thank you for everything, for believing in me, for understanding my nuance, for caring.”

Calling it a special expression, the 365 song maker shared: “I love you all so much! see you next time.”

The apparent goodbye message left everyone concerned with one X user asking if she is “going on a hiatus,” while another netizen wrote: “Is she suffering from depression.”

A fan account was of the opinion that the message “feels like a suicide note… Im scared,” to which another admirer replied: “That’s exactly what I thought too!”

Is Charli xcx suffering from depression?

While Charli is yet to confirm if she is going on a hiatus, the musician has been vocal about her struggles with depression and other mental health issues.

Previously, the Speed Drive crooner admitted that music feels "therapeutic" and helps her in processing her feelings better.
