Harry Melling shines at DGA Awards promoting queer romance film

At 36, British actor Harry Melling showcased how far his career has evolved since his early days in the Harry Potter franchise, stepping confidently into the Hollywood scene at Saturday’s DGA Awards. 

Dressed sharply in a studded red shirt under a black blazer and trousers, Melling posed for photos and shared laughs with prominent stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Hudson, Timothée Chalamet and Seth Rogen.

According to Daily Mail, the buzz around Melling comes as he actively promotes Pillion, a daring romantic comedy-drama directed by Harry Lighton that veers far from the family-friendly world of Hogwarts. 

In the film, Melling portrays Colin, a shy man drawn into a complex BDSM-influenced relationship with a biker played by Alexander Skarsgård, a role that marks a significant departure from his earlier screen persona.

Moreover, Pillion premiered to acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival and has since gathered awards attention, celebrated for its candid exploration of desire and identity and its sensitive approach to queer storytelling.
