Charlie Puth, who announced his wife Brooke Sansone’s pregnancy, has been actively sharing cryptic messages and video updates on his social media.
Although the 34-year-old is gearing up to release Whatever’s Clever, he might be up to something more as he penned down a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The We Don’t Talk Anymore singer noted: “Friends stick up for friends,” a phrase which is being linked to the 14-time Grammy winner.
The update was seemingly a nod to the time in 2016 when the Attention crooner shouted “F**k you, Justin Bieber” in support of Selena Gomez.
In another clip recently shared on his Instagram, Charlie filmed himself lip-syncing to the newly released The Fate of Ophelia from Taylor’s The Life of A Showgirl.
The online community appreciated the musician with one X user noting that he is “lowkey a swiftie” and “ask for a collab,” while fans also reminisced: “We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist.”
However, many slammed the move with as a netizen contrasted to his remark: “Maybe they shouldn’t. Maybe they should use their discernment before bullying a guy, stealing credits.”
Previously, The Kid Laroi revealed that he and Justin were the only writers of lyrics for Stay and not the Light Switch crooner.
He debunked the rumours: “People think Charlie [Puth] wrote the song and gave it to us.”
