Nikki Glaser teases ‘new way’ of hosting Golden Globes 2026

Nikki Glaser sparked a lot of buzz for her Golden Globes hosting last year, and the comedian is set to make her comeback this year and is dishing on all her thoughts and feelings ahead of the event.

The 41-year-old has dropped a few hints about returning to the prestigious stage twice in a row, including what audiences can expect in terms of the people she will be roasting, those she won’t and areas where she will be dialing it back.

In an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings on January 6, the actress stated, “I’m trying out my monologue around L.A., at the clubs here, and just even any joke about Julia Roberts, they are not there for.”

Nikki added that she had to work very hard for a joke on Julia because the crowds would be booing her for making fun of ‘America’s sweetheart’ even though she was not there to experience the roasts, signaling that audiences were protective of the Pretty Woman actress.

“It’s easy for me to take down the newer batch of actresses and actors who are younger than me. It's like, ‘OK, I can make fun of you. I'm like a veteran.’ But when it's people that I grew up admiring, it's a different approach this year,” the Trainwreck actress revealed.

The stand-up comedian dished that she would be more covert and careful about the types of jokes she makes about actors this year, especially the ones she personally respects such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn.
