JoJo Siwa is entering a brand-new era and it starts with her name.
The 22-year-old pop star, dancer and social media sensation has quietly dropped her famous nickname, revealing she’s now going by her real name, Joelle Siwa.
Fans clocked the change after Joelle updated her name on TikTok, with eagle-eyed followers also noticing that her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, has ditched “JoJo” and now calls her Joelle too.
Notably, the move comes as the loved-up pair continue to charm fans with their candid, often playful take on romance.
Karma singer and the 33-year-old TV show host, met while filming Celebrity Big Brother in the UK last year and secretly began dating in May, a month earlier than fans initially believed.
While wedding bells aren’t ringing just yet, engagement talk is very much on the table, with a twist.
Joelle has joked that if Chris doesn’t propose within seven years, she’ll take matters into her own hands.
However, he isn’t exactly sold on the idea.
Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, Chris admitted the thought of being proposed to makes him “really uncomfortable,” adding he prefers things to happen naturally and not at predictable times like Christmas.
Still, the songstress isn’t backing down.
Teasing him, she declared that May 27, 2032, is the deadline and she won’t wait a day longer.
