George Clooney, his wife Amal and their twins Alexander and Ella, have all received French citizenship.
The actor himself is American-born with Irish, German, and English ancestry. Meanwhile his wife, Amal Alamuddin, is Lebanon-born British citizen.
All four have received French passports, according to an official decree in France’s government gazette.
In 2021, the family bought a home in the South of France followed by a property near Cannes last year, as per Daily Mail.
The Hollywood star revealed he was “worried" about raising children in Los Angeles therefore he was happy to raise a family in France.
“We’re very lucky. You know, we live on a farm in France. A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid I hated the whole idea of it.”, he told Esquire.
He added “I don’t want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don’t want them being compared to somebody else’s famous kids.”
In addition, the couple also owns an estate in Italy’s Lake Como, a manor house in England, a New York apartment and a property in Kentucky, George’s hometown.
