James Cameron gives update on Avatar’s future
Avatar is one of the most successful movie series of all time
American filmmaker James Cameron has given an update on the future of his successful series Avatar.
The Titanic creator is one of the most celebrated filmmakers of modern Hollywood who has given iconic hits like Terminator, Titanic, Alien and many more.
James’ longest running project is the Avatar series which was way ahead of its time technologically when the first movie came out in 2009.
Now, Avatar: Fire and Ash is playing in theaters and has already grossed half a billion on the box office.
Speaking of the series’ future, James has made a major admission.
In conversation with Entertainment Weekly, James said “I don’t know if the saga goes beyond this point. I hope it does. But, you know, we prove that business case every time we go out.”
The director said if it comes down to that he will inform everyone where he decides to discontinue the movies.
“Here’s what it is. If we don’t get to make 4 and 5, for whatever reason, I’ll hold a press conference and I’ll tell you what we were gonna do. How’s that?”
The third Avatar movie stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Kate Winslet and Sigourney Weaver.
