Ethan Hawke wins Sydney Sweeney’s praise

Sydney Sweeney and Ethan Hawke sat down for a chat, and the father-of-four left a lasting impact on the Euphoria star.

The Christy actress appears to be redeeming her public image after condemning the views that were tied to her and more recently, her wholesome conversation with The Magnificent Seven actor.

In their pairing for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, the duo explored some of their similarities, with the 55-year-old dishing some career and lifer insights for the younger actress.

Ethan encouraged Sydney to get out of her comfort zone and to try out theatre, since he enjoys it because there is no possibility for an editor to mess the scenes up.

The Anyone But You actress revealed that she had terrible stage fright and would get very nervous, revealing her hesitance to try out acting in a play but the Sinister actor remained firm that it was only because of inexperience.

“If you did it five times, it would go away. Because I’ve seen so much of your work and you’re just an excellent actor. I think you would enjoy it. I’ll drag you out. You won’t watch. We’ll put you in,” he stated.

At the end of the chat, Sydney told Ethan that their chat was unforgettable and incredible, adding, “I’m sitting here being like, man I wish you were my dad. “

Notably, the author mentioned his daughter Maya a number of times, since she is close in age to The White Lotus actress.
