ASAP Rocky enrages fans with differing opinions on use of AI

ASAP Rocky, who shares three children with Rihanna, was included in the debate of making AI part of day to day life during a red carpet interview.

While the couple stole the spotlights at the Gotham Awards, ASAP got candid about the use of artificial intelligence as other celebrities call out its use.

Speaking to Variety, the Sundress hitmaker admitted that it is “appropriate” if used properly and moderately. 

According to the father-of-three, it depends how people utilise “the tool AI” which can be “cool or… overdone.”

Although other Hollywood stars do not find the technological development acceptable, ASAP believes there is “a thin line between corny and cool.”

The views did not seemingly sit well with the online community as one of the X user was of the opinion that he “sounds like he’s already been using it.”

Another netizen poked fun at his music projects, claiming they claimed he might be generated through the new tools, writing: “ofc he supports AI his music f**king sucks.”

This came after an artificial actor Tilly Norwood was reported to be in talks with talent agencies. Her introduction into the entertainment world sparked massive outrage.

Several stars like Emily Blunt and Whoopi Goldberg have spoken out against the use of generative tools. Meanwhile, actors and singers have already fallen victim to the explicit generated deepfakes.

Pictures and videos of Taylor Swift, Tom Cruise and Scarlett Johansson were made by AI and misused as the new developmental tool continues to strengthen with time.
