Taylor Swift’s silence becomes louder after Sabrina Carpenter speaks out

Taylor Swift’s lack of reaction after Sabrina Carpenter speaks out against Donald Trump’s administration’s use of her music has taken over the internet.

The Actually Romantic singer’s song The Fate of Ophelia has been used by the President of the United States management, and netizens are calling her out for not condemning the move.

Swift has repeatedly been critiqued for hanging out with people that allegedly are MAGA (Make America Great Again) supporters, and recently for allowing Trump’s team to use her music to promote the things that they stand for.

Artists close to the 14-time Grammy winner, previously Olivia Rodrigo, and now Sabrina Carpenter have publicly condemned the use of their music by the Trump administration.

As a result, more and more people are calling out the Miss Americana star for staying silent.

“They really got edge she never did eh,” one internet user wrote in reaction to news about Sabrina’s response, referring to Swift while quoting one of her lyrics.

Another added on X, “watching every celeb denounce the White House’s use of their music and then watching taylor stay silent and release a remix of the song they promoted is just crazy. how can this be excused.”

Meanwhile music critic Anthony Fantano also contributed to the conversation, writing with Sabrina’s response, “see? it’s not that hard,” likely referring to Swift.

Swift’s views appear to be liberal, and the singer has endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in previous elections.
