Ray J, born Willie Norwood, was arrested early Thanksgiving morning after allegedly pulling a gun and threatening his ex, Princess Love.
According to LAPD records obtained by the Daily Mail, officers booked the singer and reality star at 4:08 a.m. on a felony charge of making criminal threats, legally defined in California as threatening “immediate and serious bodily harm or death.”
He remains in Los Angeles jail on $50,000 bail.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ the incident unfolded at a Porter Ranch residence, where police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance.
During a live social media broadcast, Ray J allegedly claimed he was having “the worst Thanksgiving” and warned anyone approaching his home that he would “blow” them away.
Princess Love reportedly arrived holding one of their children and accused Ray J of pointing the firearm at her and their daughter, allegations he denied.
Audio from the livestream reportedly captured a child crying, alongside the sound of police sirens as officers secured the home.
A man’s attempt to intervene further escalated the situation, prompting additional alleged threats from Ray J.
Authorities say the residence was cleared, and Ray J was taken into custody without further incident.
This Thanksgiving arrest marks another turbulent chapter in the lives of the former reality TV couple, who share children and a public history of high-profile drama.
