American pop star Ariana Grande was ambushed at the premier of her upcoming movie Wicked: For Good.

The singer was walking the red carpet in Singapore with her co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh when she was jumped on by a person from the crowd.

Ariana’s co-star Cynthia quickly jumped to hug Ariana and comfort her after she was left disturbed.

The person was first identified as Instagram user “pyjamamann” and later revealed by his real name Johnson Wen.

The 26-year-old has been sentences to jail for nine days.

Johnson was identified as an Australian man and was charged by a court in Singapore for being a public nuisance.

As per local media, the court heard that Wen attempted to invade the movie premiere twice.

Persecutors argued in court that he was a “serial intruder” as he has done this in the past as well.

The Australian individual, who was not present in the court said he will “not do it again”.

He later uploaded a post later from the premier boasting about the incident writing “@arianagrande @wickedmovie Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You”.
