Adele called out on social media for attending Kris Jenner’s birthday

Kris Jenner’s bond-themed milestone 70th birthday was attended by many a surprising celebrity guests, and one of those party goers was Adele.

The Someone Like You singer covered her face from the paparazzi as she stepped out in a black gown to attend the star-studded celebration held by Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez.

After the image of the 16-time Grammy winner made rounds, a netizen took to their X (formerly Twitter) to call her ‘pretentious’ for the act.

The user who goes by ‘Anon’ wrote, “The way she acts so pretentious in her interviews yet she is friends with drum rollsssss Kardashians!!???”

They also added a screenshot of Adele saying that she couldn’t watch the reality tv show series The Real Housewives, because her brain would die if she did, and that it just doesn’t work for her.

In the comments under the post, internet users appeared to be divided with some giving the beloved singer some grace for her decisions, while others bashed her.

One netizens wrote, “In fairness, she has said it’s a world she likes dipping into rather than living in,” while another added, “I think Adele just knows how to have a good time, pretension be hanged...”

“Right? It’s a wild contrast — her public persona and her social circle don’t exactly match up,” said one, agreeing with the original poster, “The wealthy will always stick together,” said a fourth netizen.
