Sydney Sweeney has faced backlash for her projects
American actress Sydney Sweeney has received backlash for her project choices in the past months.
From bathwater soap to controversial jeans ad, the Euphoria star has been at the reciving end of pucblic criticism.
While Sydney herself has stood by her views, another actress has jumped in to defend her.
90’s icon Sharon Stone has commented on the woung actress’ backlash saying “it's hard to be hot”.
Speaking at Variety's Power of Women LA event on Wednesday night, Sharon defended her Euphoria co-star.
“It's okay to use what mama gave you. It's really fine”, she said after Sydney was criticised for saying she has “great jeans” in an American Eagle ad.
Sharon further said “It's hard to be hot, and I think we all know that. It's really okay to use every bit of hotness you have - right here, right now - and go for whatever that is.”
The Casino actress attended the event where Swydney was also in attendance alongside Wanda Sykes, Jamie Lee Curtis, Nicole Scherzinger and Kate Hudson.
The season three of the hit show is due to release in 2026 in which Sydney will reprise her role as Cassie meanwhile Sharon’s role is yet unknown.
