Cardi B says she will not be taking a long break between albums this time
Cardi B has made an exciting announcement regarding new music, and has revealed that it may be coming sooner than expected.
The WAP rapper has recently put out her sophomore album Am I The Drama after a seven year hiatus from her first album.
Since the Bodak Yellow singer is also currently pregnant with her National Football League beau Stefon Digg’s baby, it seems that fans did not expect her third album to be dropping so soon.
In a live chat on X spaces, the Invasion of Privacy hit maker told fans that her third album was coming “in less than a year.”
"I see you guys asking for a deluxe or asking to do a remix album like Charli X[CX] or something, unfortunately, I am not doing none of that,” the 33-year-old stated, with the note that what she put out was it.
Cardi added, “ I’m really planning on that, I want a new era, I kind of know what I want it to look like,” hinting that the new era will be different from the one with her second album.
Notably, her rap rival Nicki Minaj is also putting out a new album next year in March, and made the announcement around the same time as the release of Cardi’s second record.
