Taylor Swift, who recently dropped her new album The Life Of A Showgirl, finally released the music video of the single The Fate of Ophelia.
Although the 35-year-old singer was appreciated for the visuals in the video, many raised a significant question after seemingly going against her own rules.
After the music clip was made live, fans asked the Grammy winner about the AI generated promotions that resulted in a fierce backlash against the songstress.
One of the X users appreciated the new release while calling out the Lover crooner, writing: “Yes, I love it and I love you but what about the AI videos.”
“#SwiftiesAgainstAI,” a hashtag began to make the rounds on the internet which evidently pointed out fans’ disappointment with their idol.
Another admirer was puzzled, asking: “Why could you not have put the same amount of effort you put into this music video in to those ai album promotional videos?”
A third claimed that Taylor integrating AI has “harmed marginalized communities, the environment and other artists.”
This began after the pop icon was accused of turning to artificially generated promotional content “orange door,” calling her “tone-deaf.”
It was widely pointed out that the musician has been an advocate for artistic integrity and creativity, especially after it took her nearly six years to regain her master recordings.
Meanwhile, the original clip was applauded for bringing an “immersive” experience and offering many Easter eggs including fiancé Travis Kelce’s picture and sourdough.
