Cardi B disappoints fans with sophomore album: 'What's this mess?'
American rapper Cardi B drops new album 'Am I The Drama' on September 19
Cardi B, who is known for creating several hit tracks, released Am I The Drama? while reviews says its nothing but a “mess.”
Although the 32-year-old rapper collaborated with notable musicians and opted for guerrilla promotions, Cardi’s fans were left disappointed after streaming the new record.
As soon as the project was made live on streaming platforms, fans expressed their opinions on social media, including X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
One of the X users questioned the rapper: “What is this mess???” claiming to be an "honest member of bardigang," the fan maintained that she “just dropped the worst album in a decade.”
Another fan pointed out “no growths or bars whatsoever,” calling it “terrible” music.
This was her comeback album after years of wait, where one user gushed that “the visuals are stunning but I need the music to match.”
A critic noted that the musician is “using the same flow from 2018 and all the bars are whack,” while a similar remark was made by another fan: “Sounds exactly like the same sh*t” she made previously.
Few appreciated the musician and some die-hard admirers declared it to be album of the year; however, that entirely depends on the charts.

Nevertheless, Cardi is looking forward to take the stage by storm with an upcoming tour, which will begin in February 2026.
