Demi Lovato reacts to Selena Gomez's music and engagement

Demi Lovato recently revealed that she had listened to Selena Gomez’s new music with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, and also reacted to their engagement.

In a conversation with Watch What Happens Live, the 33-year-old singer admitted that she had watched the podcast where Selena praised her.

She said, “I just wish her the best! She and Bennu did a really, really great job. I love the songs on it. Bluest Flame was my [favourite] song,”

The Cool for the Summer hitmaker also said that she ‘couldn’t be happier’ about the new chapter she’s about to start with Benny.

Netizens took to X (formerly known as Twitter), hoping they could meet again. One fan wrote, “Hopefully one day they will reunite and become friends again.” Another well-wisher commented, “Such timeless friendship.”

Notably, Selena and Demi first met when they were seven years old in 2002 on the Barney and Friends show, after which the duo dated the Jonas Brothers.

Before this, they reunited on Disney’s original film, Princess Protection Program, where the pair played leads and ultimately best friends.

For the unversed, the Calm Down hitmaker will walk down the aisle this month at a private residence in Montecito, California. Demi tied the knot with her former backup dancer Jordan Lutes in May 2025.
