Ed Sheeran shared rare insight into his married life with his wife Cherry Seaborn after an impromptu performance at King's Cross.
On September 16, the 34-year-old singer sat down for a Q&A session with Spotify’s host Nihal Arthanayake.
Sheeran talked about the inspiration behind the songs from his latest album, Play, and how not every song is about love.
He said, “Cherry knows I write about everything - not just the good stuff. Songs like 'Perfect' exist, but so do the ones about real conflict.”
“That's part of any relationship, and I think it's important to be honest about it.” The musician added.
In conversation with Arthanayake, Sheeran also admitted that he focuses more on family and friends now than on his career. He explained that previously it would be 100% work and 0% personal life, but this has changed now.
“Now it's 70 per cent family, 30 per cent music. Balance isn't just healthy - it's success.”
Notably, Sheeran married Seaborn in 2019 in a private ceremony at his estate in Suffolk, UK, after dating for 5 years. The couple now share two children, Lyra and Jupiter.
For the unversed, the Grammy winner will be going on his world tour starting December 1, 2025. He has also confirmed his relocation to the States only for the tour.
Ed Sheeran met his wife in school, then later reconnected in 2015 after Taylor Swift introduced them at her party.
