Ed Sheeran recently gave insight into his will, which surprisingly includes a posthumous album.

In conversation with Zane Lowe, the 34-year-old singer admitted he has an album titled Eject, which will be released after his death.

The interview, which dropped on YouTube on September 10, shows Sheeran and Lowe walking in a vast suburban area surrounded by bushes and trees as the artist talks about his new album, Play.

Later in the video, the Photograph hitmaker said, “Eject is the uh is the is the album in the will. It's so funny the image of me to be. It's actually in my will.”

He also added that his wife, Cherry, will pick the tracks for the album. “It's fully like it's in there if I were to go.”

Netizens took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their sentiments on the news. One fan wrote, “This is actually kinda cool in a weird way.’ Another follower penned, “Amazing idea.”

Sheeran also explained that it was his wish to make a record out of all the songs he had made since he was 18 and choose the 10 best. However, he stated that it’s not yet planned and is in the works.

For the unversed, the chart-topping musician released his latest album, Play, on September 12, 2025, which comprises 13 singles.

When will Ed Sheeran go on his next tour?

Ed Sheeran’s upcoming tour, Play, will begin on December 1, 2025, and will cover Europe and Australia. He recently announced US tour dates, which extended his shows.
