Noah Wyle is sharing his kids’ feelings about his successful character in The Pitt, which has earned him his first-ever Emmy.
On Sunday, September 14, the actor took home the recognition for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (and one for Outstanding Drama Series) at the 77th Emmy Awards.
Ahead of the main event, on Saturday, Sept. 13, during the Warner Bros. Television Group's 77th Primetime Emmy Awards Nominees Celebration, the actor talked to PEOPLE.
"It's been really beautiful," Wyle said about his family watching him on the show. "To see my kids be proud of me and to have this be meaningful for them, for me, it has been really amazing."
He further acknowledged, "You always hope your kids know how hard you work. You always hope your kids know how much of yourself you put into what you do by example for them.”
Wyle noted that this past year, he’s felt that his kids have been “listening and watching and it’s been impactful.”
The father of three extended his thanks to his children, parents, stepparents, and "my beautiful wife Sara, who owns half of this, not just because it's California law but because she earned it,” in his winning speech.
"And mostly, to anybody who is going on shift tonight or coming off shift tonight, thank you for being in that job," he added. "This is for you."
Other wins for The Pitt at the 2025 Emmys include Katherine LaNasa’s Supporting Actress award and Outstanding Drama Series.
