Harry Potter legend Stuart Craig passed away on September 7.
Stuart was a British production designer best known for creating the magical world of all eight Harry Potter movies.
The late legend was pronounced dead in his home on Sunday as confirmed by his family.
“Our beloved husband and father, deeply loved and respected, was not only known for his talent but also for his kindness and we are moved by hearing of how many lives he touched. He will live on in our hearts forever.”, his family told The Guardian.
The British star passed away after a 14-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Stuart won three Academy Awards and three BAFTAs for his contributions to the film industry.
He worked on many high-profile projects in Britain and Hollywood from 1980s onwards.
The 83-year-old won the best art direction Oscars for Gandhi, Dangerous Liaisons and The English Patient. Meanwhile, he was nominated for eight more.
His record at BAFTAs stands at 16 nominations and three wins.
Stuart was born in 1942 in Norwich, UK and went on to study film design at the Royal College of Art.
