Sydney Sweeney, who is known for her role in Anyone But You, surprisingly received support from an actor after being criticised for her controversial campaign.
After being praised by President Donald Trump for her commercial, Sydney was defended by Matt Rife who clapped back at the hate.
According to the comedian, the Immaculate actress is being called out for a non-significant reason.
In an X (Twitter) post, Matt noted that “I keep seeing people mad at Sydney Sweeney for noooothing.”
The Trapped Inn star explained that the Euphoria star is understanding “the internet is full of garbage losers" who cause "misinterpretation."
“People are awful,” Matt concluded the statement.
It is to be noted that the comedian was himself embroiled in a controversy after being featured in E.l.f Cosmetics despite poking fun at sensitive topic of domestic violence.
American Eagle hired Sydney to endorse new jeans, which stirred a strong reaction with the actress’ dialogue that was deemed “racist” and derogatory.
This is not the first time the Hollywood A-lister was targeted for a debatable advertisement. Previously, she joined hands with a men grooming brand for releasing soap made of her bathwater.
Recently, the 27-year-old seemingly admitted she has no regrets as she questioned the backlash, saying it is “really interesting” to see “girls” comment while they “all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi’s bathwater.”
Although it might seem that the artist is being called out, there are several supporters who do not see any issue with her choice of work.
The actress herself did not apologise to her fans following strong criticism which indicates that she might bring about similar projects in the future.
