Meghan Markles Netflix show received tepid response in the US, new poll shows

Meghan Markle’s foray into lifestyle television may have grabbed headlines, but not necessarily hearts.

Her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, launched in March with a promise to offer viewers a peek into her world of hosting, home cooking, and heartfelt connection. Despite the hype, it appears to have made only a modest impression on the American audience.

A new YouGov poll reveals less than half of Americans even knew the show existed. And among those who did tune in, only 19 percent reported a positive impression.

Just 11 percent of respondents admitted to disliking the show, but the larger takeaway seems to be that most people didn’t care enough to form an opinion at all.

Still, Netflix has given the series a green light for season two, though a release date hasn’t been announced.

It’s believed filming is already complete, and the upcoming episodes will likely stick to the same formula: Meghan in the kitchen, entertaining a circle of friends, though husband Prince Harry’s screen time may again be minimal. In season one, he appeared briefly in the final episode.
