Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross recently experienced a scare at their home in Los Angeles when the burglary alarm was triggered.
On Monday, an unnamed source contacted the police after the alarm was triggered at the 40-year-old singer’s residence.
It was unclear if the couple was present. However, the cops didn’t find any signs of forced entry during their investigation.
Law enforcement told TMZ they were contacted by someone connected to the pair. They stated that it was either a false alarm or the trespasser had fled.
However, this isn’t the first time a celebrity’s home has been a target for crime. Two weeks ago, American Idol boss Robin Kaye and her partner Thomas DeLuca were shot dead in their home.
Ashlee Simpson bought her LA mansion with her husband, Ross, in 2020 for $6.15 million. The lovebirds reside with their three children.
For the unversed, she married musician Evan Ross in 2014, and they share two kids, a daughter named Jagger Snow and a son, Ziggy Blue.
The Boyfriend singer also has a 16-year-old son, Bronx, with her former husband, Pete Wentz.
Notably, she is currently in Las Vegas preparing for her I Am Me concert at the Venetian Resort. The show is slated for August 29 and 30.
Till now, the couple has not yet commented on the situation.
