Gregg Wallace has revealed how he avoided turning to alcohol following his departure from the hit cooking show MasterChef.
For those unfamiliar, the 60-year-old broadcaster was reportedly dismissed due to allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
He admitted that he went through a challenging period after being let go from the BBC series but chose to focus on his health instead of spiralling.
“I made a decision, when all this started, to really look after myself physically,” he said. “It’s been a difficult few month.”
Wallace committed himself to fitness and has since reinvented himself as a personal trainer.
He now reportedly runs a website called Gregg Wallace Health, where he offers wellness packages for £200 a month.
The television personality recently shared a video on Instagram showing him heading to the gym with a friend.
“I went on my own wellness journey and I’m healthier at 60 than I was at 30. I coach people over 50. I help them feel better, look better, and gain more confidence,” he explained in the reel.
In a recent interview, the former presenter also claimed that he had experienced inappropriate behaviour from women during his time on MasterChef.
“Being on MasterChef was brilliant,” he said, “but I had so many bad experiences on that show too.”
