American professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, who tragically passed away at 71, was remembered by his close friend Jimmy Hart in a recent interview.
Jimmy reflected on his last moments before the wrestler, notable figure in wrestling and 1980s “Hulkmania,” turned to eternity.
While speaking to People, the 81-year-old revealed that everything “was so positive the day before” his sudden demise.
The manager recalled contacting the actor on Wednesday night, “and then Thursday morning is when everything took place.”
According to him, the situation worsened “overnight.” The musician stated that fans were as shocked as he was. “It was just unbelievable,” he added.
However, Jimmy’s last call to the pop culture legend was picked up by his assistant, who ensured that the champion was “doing great.”
The WrestleMania manager was shocked to hear that the TV personality was no more, admitting: “We thought he was doing so well, you know?”
Before receiving a neck surgery, the two used to watch wrestling three times a week and do karaoke along with Hulk’s son Nick.
While the bond between the two established on professional basis, Hulk and Jimmy became close friends with time.
They travelled together where the executive acted as the Real American Beer co-founder's mouthpiece during their globally recognised “Hulkmania” with WWF, older name for WWE.
