The 77th Emmy Awards nominations were announced on July 15 by Brenda Song and Harvey Guillén at the Television Academy's Wolf Theatre.

Apple TV+ earned a total of 81 nominations, with Severance season 2 dominating at 27 nods, the most for any show, including a spot on the Outstanding Drama Series list.

The sci-fi thriller nearly doubled its 14 nominations from last year, solidifying its reputation as a critical success and igniting fan reactions.

One fan wrote, "Hope Severance wins every category. This season was fire."

"Ahhhh! You guys, congrats, every nominee is so well deserved," another penned.

Notably, director Jessica Gagne made history as the first woman to be nominated for both best cinematography and best directing in drama.

While Adam Scott also scored a Lead Actor nomination, adding to his Golden Globe and Emmy accolades.

The show’s gripping premise, office workers with surgically split memories, has resonated deeply with the audience since its 2022 debut.

HBO received 140 nominations, but Severance's strength in major categories highlights its potential during awards season.

The series 27 nods set a new benchmark for streaming dramas, proving its staying power after just two seasons.

The September 14 ceremony on CBS will reveal if Severance can convert its nominations into wins. For now, the Lumon Industries team can celebrate their Emmy recognition.
