Andrew Garfield reunites with Luca Guadagnino for new project

Andrew Garfied and Yura Borisov are set to share the screen in the next film from acclaimed director Luca Guadagnino.

The 41-year-old actor has recently worked with Guadagnino for the thriller movie After the Hunt which will be released on October 10, 2025.

The duo is now collaborating for the upcoming comedy drama that is set in the world of artificial intelligence.

The story of the movie follows the toxic workplace at OpenAI where they repeatedly hire and fire Sam Altman after the board takes over the company. He eventually gets removed and then makes his comeback with a convoluted, breaking news cycle that broke the internet.

Artificial is written by an American humorist and novelist Simon Rich and will be produced by Rich alongside Heyday Films (Barbie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) producers David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford, as well as Jennifer Fox (The Night Of).

Amazon MGM Studios is backing the film, though no release date has been confirmed.
