Rapper gets backlash for urging fan to jump off stage

Rapper Destroy Lonely is attracting backlash after his performance at the Beach, Please! festival in Romania.

As reported by a Romanian newspaper Adevărul, a 15 year old fan ended up with a lung contusion, liver damage, and a kidney injury after the rapper allegedly encouraged him to jump from the stage.

Having ended up in intensive care, he told the outlet, "When I fell, I thought I was dying.”

"You're going to jump! I need you to jump back into the fans! Are you ready?,” the artist allegedly told him.

The fan, Nicholas, continued, "He kept telling me to jump, I backed away and told him clearly that I didn't want to. And at some point, he grabbed my hoodie and kept pushing me. When I fell, I thought I was dying. I had no more air, I ran out of air. And I don't know. I thought that if I don't get help here, these will be my last moments."

Destroy Lonely then went on to continue the concert without stopping, while the fan’s mother seeks to file a complaint against him.

While the rapper is yet to respond, festival organizers have said that they will not work with him again.
