Justin Bieber has agreed to give millions to Scooter Braun, his former manager, as their long-running financial dispute comes to an end.
The 31-year-old Baby hitmaker and the 44-year-old founder of SB Projects finally came to a settlement agreement on Thursday that will reportedly cost Bieber more than $30 million.
Braun's business HYBE America assisted Bieber in repaying $26 million of the $40 million advance he had initially received from AEG following the cancellation of his Justice tour in 2022.
Bieber allegedly agreed to repay the money over a ten-year period, but after the first installment, he apparently stopped paying HYBE.
Additionally, Braun previously asserted that Bieber owed him several million dollars in unpaid commissions. Bieber announced a new album on Thursday.
However, according to sources who spoke to TMZ, Bieber will now pay back the full $26 million as part of the terms of the settlement with Braun.
In a victory for Bieber, the Grammy winner will only be required to reimburse Braun for half of the $11 million in unpaid commissions that he is accused of owing him.
Justin Bieber’s latest album SWAG explores themes of fatherhood, mental health, and personal growth with a raw, pop-soul sound. It blends candid family moments and introspective lyrics, marking his most personal work yet.
