The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, sent fans into frenzy with a huge honour granted after fully booked concerts.
The Mayor and the City Council of the City of Inglewood, California proclaimed in an update: “June 25 through 29, 2025 ‘The Weeknd Week.’”
Fans became overwhelmed upon hearing the news as one follower wrote: “Well deserved, last night was incredible.”
According to one of the die-hard fans, the achievement is evidence that he is “the greatest of this generation.”
Many concert-goers were feeling “honoured” to be part of the musicales while thanking him “for giving us a great concert good music.”
The official Instagram handle of SoFi Stadium, which was also lit up by Beyonce, shared a proclamation to their page.
The 35-year-old singer put up “four sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium” which were scheduled on “June 25, 26, 28 and June 29, 2025.”
According to the announcement, the Blinding Light hitmaker’s performances marked a “historic achievement” as it drew “tens of thousands” of global fans.
This came after the Die For You crooner called off his concert at LA’s Allegiant Stadium on July 4 “due to production load-in issues.”
The Grammy winner released his last album Hurry Up Tomorrow in January of this year, which was followed by his movie by the same in May 16, 2025.
