Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez end lavish Venice wedding weekend

Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, kissed each other and left for their last party in Venice last night after a three day wedding celebration.

Wearing a figure-hugging pink dress with a fishtail bottom and embellishments, the new Mrs. Bezos waved to the crowds from her balcony at the Aman Venice Hotel.

Before speeding off down a Venice canal, the contented couple gave everyone a public kiss.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and Oprah Winfrey were also spotted heading to the Arsenale, a former medieval shipyard, to attend the wedding.

Jeff, Lauren and other VIPs travelled down the lagoon in private water taxis, trailed by a flotilla of paparazzi boats.

About 200 of the richest people in the world gathered together for one last night of celebration. A variety of performers were anticipated, including Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga.

The world's third richest man, Bezos, is worth £177 billion, and he has taken over the Italian city for a wedding.

However, 700 protesters with banners and inflatable crocodiles gathered at the Santa Lucia train station.

Luca Zaia, president of the Veneto regional government that comprises Venice, told reporters on Tuesday that the Bezos-Sánchez three-day wedding event could cost between $64 million and $76 million.
