One of the richest men in the world, Jeff Bezos, is set to marry his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, in Italy.
The couple got engaged in 2023 when Jeff proposed his lover with a stunning ring which is suspected to be worth $5 million.
However, the couple’s fairytale wedding has been hit with mishaps as they have received threats from a protest group, forcing them to move their festivities somewhere else.
A protest group threatened to release thousands of inflatable crocodiles into the canals around the original venue where the wedding was supposed to take place, the sixteenth century Scuola Grande della Misericordia palazzo.
The security of the venue was elevated as many world leaders and business tycoons were expected to arrive to attend the billionaire’s wedding.
The event has been moved to Arsenale, a historic complex of shipyards surrounded by walls.
The threat was sent by a group called No Space for Bezos. The group describes itself as “anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, anti-racist and trans-feminist political space”.
