Prince Harry is heading back to the UK in 2027.

According to the official Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 social media account, the Duke of Sussex’s flagship sporting event will take place from July 10 to 17, with opening and closing ceremonies bookending the week.

This marks a full-circle moment for the Games, which were first launched by Harry in the UK in 2014 to celebrate wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women through the power of sport.

Birmingham was announced as the next host city back in 2024, but the exact dates had remained under wraps — until now.

“Your city’s strong ties to the Armed Forces community made it a formidable contender from the very start,” Harry said in a statement at the time. “We have no doubt the people of Birmingham will join in celebrating the unwavering respect and admiration we have for our veteran and service community.”

The 2027 Games promise 23 sports aiming to widen accessibility, including new additions like e-sport, pickleball, and laser run.

But while Harry’s return to British soil is confirmed, it remains unclear whether any other royals will be in attendance. Tensions between the Duke and his father, King Charles, continue to cloud expectations around potential reunions.
