Casandra “Cassie” Ventura is the star witness in the federal criminal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs, beginning her testimony on May 13.

She has gone into graphic detail about the alleged abuse that she suffered at his hands, which included non-consensual sexual encounters as well as brutal physical assault.

After splitting from him in 2018, she went on to file a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023, claiming that he had raped and sexually trafficked her. They ended up reaching a settlement within 24 hours.

Her allegations went on to trigger several other lawsuits against him, which led to a federal investigation into them.

He was then arrested in September 2024 and got indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Marriage to Alex Fine

Cassie got married to her personal trainer Alex Fine in 2019 in a ceremony that took place in Malibu, California.

She has been open about showing their relationship on Instagram, writing about him in March, 2025, "There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am that I get to do this life with you!”

She added, "The laughter and pure joy that I get to experience with you is beyond any of my dreams and manifestations. You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other."

Two Children, Another On The Way

Only four months into the marriage, the couple saw the birth of their first child, a daughter named Frankie in December 2019.

Their second child was born in March 2021, another daughter named Sunny.

Cassie often praises Alex’s parenting skills on social media, sharing photos of him playing or dressing up with their daughters.

"There is just no one like you. I love you @alexAlex44 Happy Father’s Day!!,” she wrote in 2024.

They are currently expecting their third baby, which will be their first boy.

Still A Singer, Actor and Model

Cassie initially began her music career in 2006, releasing a self-titled EP that had several hit tracks including Me & U and Long Way 2 Go.

She was signed with Diddy’ company at the time, Bad Boy Records.

Only two years later, she went on to make her debut as an actress in Step Up 2: The Streets. She then starred in the 2016 Netflix flick, The Perfect Match with Terrence Jenkins.

She has also gotten into modelling recently, including for brands like THE BLONDS and SKIMS.

Case Against Diddy

Cassie alleged in her case that Diddy put her through a ten year “cycle of abuse, violence and sex trafficking."

His lawyer at the time, Ben Brafman completely denied the allegations, calling them “offensive and outrageous.”

In May 2024, video evidence was revealed by CNN that showed Diddy physically attacking Cassie in 2016 at a hotel in Los Angeles.

Alex defended his wife in an Instagram post, writing, "Men who hit women aren't men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren't men. As men, violence against women shouldn't be inevitable, check your brothers, your friends, and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the upmost regard. Men who hurt women hate women.”

Current Testimony

Being called by the prosecutors at eight months pregnant, she began giving her testimony in May, 2025.

Cassie claimed that Diddy “controlled” her life and forcefully made her participate in his "Freak Offs" while being under the influence of drugs.

“The longest was 4 days or even more with breaks,” she explained. “Then I was recovering from the drugs, dehydration — just trying to stay awake all the time.”
